Primus is hitting the road this fall for a month-long tour in support of their first studio album in 11 years.
The tour, which is dubbed as “an evening with,” features Primus playing two sets each night, beginning at Boston’s Orpheum Theater on Sept. 23 and running through Oct. 22 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

Primus has taken some knocks through the years, but they are out to prove that they are not down-and-out by kicking off a fall tour and announcing a new album for 2011.
In March 2010, former 1988 original Primus drummer Jay Lane rejoined the band after leaving his other band, Furthur, which was formed by former Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir.
Primus toured throughout Spring 2010 with special guests Gogol Bordello, The Dead Kenny G’s, and Wolfmother, but stirred up more interest for the band in early August when they released June 2010 Rehearsal, a free 4-track EP, which included new recordings of:

Their upcoming fall 2010 tour, dubbed the Oddity Faire Tour, will include opening acts Portugal. The Man, Mariachi El Bronx, Split Lip Rayfield, and, once again, Gogol Bordello.
The tour kicks off on Sept. 14 at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento and runs through Oct. 10 at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre. Along the way, they also have stops at L.A.’s Club Nokia (9/16-17); the Eagle River Pavilion in Eagle, Idaho (9/20); the Arlene Schnitzer Hall in Portland (9/22); the Fillmore Detroit (10/3); the Tabernacle in Atlanta (10/5); the Asheville Civic Center in N.C. (10/6); the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, Penn. (10/8); and more!
